Day 1: Negombo

Welcome to Sri Lanka!
After your arrival in Colombo, you will be comfortably transferred to Negombo. There you will have time to settle in, relax, and gather your first impressions with a stroll along the beach or by exploring the surrounding area.

Day 2: Negombo Sigiriya

After breakfast, travel to Sigiriya, the cultural center of the island. En route, visit the UNESCO World Heritage Dambulla Cave Temple, home to over 150 Buddha statues and intricately painted rock caves.
In Sigiriya, a safari awaits you in Minneriya National Park, Kaudulla National Park, or the Eco Park. With a little luck, you can observe large herds of elephants as well as numerous wild animals and birds amidst a stunning landscape.

Day 3: Sigiriya

In the morning, explore the ancient ruins of Polonnaruwa, with its temples, palaces, and statues. On the way back, enjoy a traditional Sri Lankan lunch with aromatic spices and local specialties.
In the afternoon, you'll climb Pidurangala Rock. After climbing through a small temple area and up rock steps, you'll reach a wide platform with magnificent panoramic views of the surrounding area and the famous Lion Rock of Sigiriya.

Day 4: Sigiriya

During the day, you will discover the ancient royal city of Anuradhapura, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with impressive temple ruins, palaces, and spiritual sites.
In the evening, you will go on a guided night hike and observe rare lorises in their natural habitat.

Day 5: Sigiriya Kandy

Early in the morning, you'll climb the famous Sigiriya Rock with its frescoes and panoramic views. Then, you'll travel on to Kandy, the cultural capital of Sri Lanka. En route, you'll visit the tranquil Aluviharaya Buddhist Temple and the colorful Matale Kovil Hindu Temple—two sites that reflect the country's cultural diversity.
Once in Kandy, explore the Udawattakele Forest Reserve above the Temple of the Tooth. This protected forest offers untouched nature, hidden trails, and abundant wildlife.

Day 6: Kandy

Today, explore the vibrant city of Kandy. Experience everyday life at the colorful market, sample exotic fruits, and browse small shops and craft stores.
Afterwards, you'll visit the Temple of the Tooth, the most important Buddhist site in the country. In the afternoon, enjoy the tranquility and diversity of the Royal Garden of Peradeniya before concluding the day with a traditional dance show.

Day 7: Kandy Adam's Peak

Heute reisen Sie zum bedeutenden Pilgerort Adam’s Peak. Unterwegs halten Sie am malerischen Lakshapana-Wasserfall. In Kitulgala wird es abenteuerlich und Sie verbinden beim White-Water-Rafting Nervenkitzel und Naturerlebnis inmitten grüner Landschaft. 

Day 8: Adam's Peak - Nuwara Eliya

Early in the morning, you will climb Adam's Peak and reach the top in time for sunrise to enjoy the spiritual atmosphere and the view.
After the descent, you continue to Nuwara Eliya, the "Little England" of Sri Lanka. Along the way, you'll visit the Saint Claire Waterfall, explore the tea plantations, and learn more about the history and processing of the famous Ceylon tea at the Tea Museum.

Day 9: Nuwara Eliya

In the early morning, hike to World's End in Horton Plains National Park and enjoy the spectacular panoramic views over valleys and mountains.
In the afternoon, a relaxing herbal massage awaits you before you can discover the colonial charm of Nuwara Eliya on a stroll in the evening.

Day 10: Nuwara Eliya Ella

Zur Mittagszeit fahren Sie mit dem Zug durch Teeplantagen, Täler und Wasserfälle nach Ella, einer charmanten Kleinstadt in den Bergen.
Nach der Ankunft unternehmen Sie eine kurze Wanderung zum Little Adam’s Peak. Der etwa einstündige Aufstieg durch grüne Hügel und Plantagen wird mit einem herrlichen Panoramablick belohnt.

Day 11: Ella

Am Morgen wandern Sie zum Ella Rock. Der Weg führt durch üppige Vegetation, Wasserfälle und Teeplantagen und endet mit einem spektakulären Ausblick auf die umliegenden Berge und Täler.
Nach der Rückkehr bleibt Zeit, das charmante Städtchen Ella in Ruhe zu erkunden.

Day 12: Ella Yala

Heute reisen Sie von Ella in den Süden Sri Lankas. Unterwegs besuchen Sie den beeindruckenden Ravana-Wasserfall.
Am Nachmittag erwartet Sie eine Safari im beliebten Yala Nationalpark, bekannt für Elefanten, Leoparden und zahlreiche Vogelarten.

Day 13: Yala Tangalle

The next day, you'll travel from Yala to the relaxed coastal town of Tangalle. Here, you'll first visit the impressive Hummanaya Blow Hole, followed by beautiful beaches with fine sand and clear water, ideal for relaxing, swimming, and soaking up the sun.

Day 14: Tangalle Mirissa

The next morning, you'll travel to Mirissa, an idyllic coastal town on the southern tip of Sri Lanka. Along the way, you'll have the opportunity to swim with sea turtles at a nearby beach. Afterwards, you'll stop at Sri Lanka's southernmost point, with its striking lighthouse and spectacular ocean views.
Once you arrive in Mirissa, you have time to relax on the beach and explore the surrounding area on your own.

Day 15: Mirissa

The next day, you will have the opportunity to observe blue whales, dolphins, and other marine mammals in their natural habitat on a whale-watching tour.
Afterwards, you can spend the day relaxing on the beach, swimming in the sea, enjoying the sun, or embarking on an adventure with water sports.

Day 16: Mirissa Hikkaduwa

Heute reisen Sie nach Hikkaduwa, einem lebhaften Küstenort an der Südwestküste Sri Lankas. Unterwegs besuchen Sie das historische Galle Fort, ein UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe mit charmanten Gassen und gut erhaltenen Festungsmauern.
Anschliessend besichtigen Sie eine Schildkrötenaufzuchtstation (Turtle Hatchery), erfahren mehr über den Schutz der Tiere und können junge Schildkröten beobachten.
In Hikkaduwa angekommen, haben Sie Zeit, die Umgebung zu erkunden, die Strände zu geniessen oder einfach die entspannte Atmosphäre auf sich wirken zu lassen.

Day 17: Hikkaduwa  

Today you can fully enjoy the sun on the beautiful beaches of Hikkaduwa and explore the colorful underwater world with its vibrant coral reefs on a snorkeling tour.
For those seeking adventure, there is the opportunity to conquer the waves while surfing or to experience the fascinating marine fauna even more intensively during a dive.

Day 18: Hikkaduwa Negombo

Nach ereignisreichen Tagen machen Sie sich heute auf den Weg zum Flughafen. Unterwegs geniessen Sie die letzten Eindrücke der vielfältigen Schönheit Sri Lankas, bevor Sie Ihre Heimreise antreten.
