Terms and Conditions
(General Terms and Conditions of Business)

These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) govern the contractual relationship between Cooray Tours, a sole proprietorship based in Switzerland, and customers who commission travel planning or tour organization in Sri Lanka via the contact form or directly with us.

We offer customized travel planning in Sri Lanka, including the organization of activities, transportation, and personalized customer service throughout the trip. This is not a package tour, nor does it include booking flights or hotels.

Interested customers can contact us via the contact form or in person. We will prepare a non-binding offer based on their preferences. Travel planning is free of charge until booking.
A booking is considered binding as soon as a deposit of at least 20% of the offer amount is made.

Payments can be made via online banking. The booking is considered confirmed once a deposit of 20% of the total amount has been paid.
The remaining payment must be made no later than 7 days before the start of the trip using the payment method mentioned.
If payment is made in a currency other than Swiss francs (CHF), the amount will be converted at the current exchange rate. In the event of a refund, the original amount received will be refunded in CHF. Any exchange rate losses or gains will not be offset.

Cancellations up to 14 days before departure are free of charge; any deposits already paid will be fully refunded. After this deadline, the deposit is non-refundable.
If you cancel within 7 days of departure, 50% of the total amount will be refunded.
Changes to activities or the route can be made at any time by arrangement. Any price changes will be communicated transparently.

Repayments in foreign currencies will be made at the original amount received; any exchange rate differences will not be offset.

The organization is carried out in cooperation with local partners in Sri Lanka. All communication and coordination takes place through the contact persons in Switzerland.

Participation in tours and activities is at your own risk. We assume no liability for accidents, injuries, illnesses, or damages that occur during the trip.
Likewise, we are not liable for services provided by third parties (e.g. activity providers), delays, force majeure or short-term changes to the itinerary.

Swiss law applies exclusively. The place of jurisdiction is the company's registered office, unless otherwise mandatory.
